This is an original rolled (previously folded) Danish poster for
Blast of Silence
, the 1961 New York City film noir directed by Allen Baron and starring Allen Baron, Molly McCarthy and Larry Tucker.
Though a lesser-known title, this low-budget
noir
received very high critical acclaim and was released by Criterion in 2008, which characterized it as “swift, brutal, and black-hearted” and a “sensational surprise,” in part for its gritty, artful portrayal of NYC.
Poster is in
very good
condition. Minor creasing, some pinholes at corners, a few small smudges or stains, a ~2 in. vertical slice across bottom horizontal fold, a few small tears and nicks, and additional fold lines along three edges (likely from framing poster). Please see detail photos.
