Though I will say I think it requires Thunderbolt and not just USBC. At least that was how I understood it. It was used with a Dell
XPS till the thunderbolt port on it broke (from baby spitup…). It was not attached at the time.
I can’t guarantee compatibility or anything like that and since this is basically a digital yard sale where this unemployed new father tries to clean out old stuff while he has time between looking for work, there are no returns, I am sorry. I am
Not a big eBay shop and doing returns quickly can make you make negative dollars I’ve learned, you still pay fees, refund 100%, and have to pay for shipment back; so you can be out on a item.
Anyway I will try and answer any questions honestly.
This did work with my wife’s laptop- which was a newer Dell Latitude work laptop. Since thunderbolt is a universal Intel protocol in theory it should work with any newer laptop. Have caution though because for instance on my new laptop it has 2 usb C only 1 of which is Thunderbolt.
I didn’t use it, so my wife has been using it. But she got a new job and now has a mac. The new macs don’t have Thunderbolt but the non M1s did I think and the M2s do too, just not the M1s.
It’s a good hefty dock. Much bigger and more capable than the little Chinese ones you see on Amazon. Though this could act finicky at times. Turning it off and on again (the dock not the computer) always fixed it though and this was rare - once a week.
Anyway I will try and help. Best of luck. I will answer questions to the best of my ability. While I can’t say this listing is for charity, it sort of is. This is me holding a yard sale of all my gizmos as a tech professional. I don’t list often enough because I usually write too much here, but check out my other items.
