This is an
original
1965 vintage theatrical Belgian Movie Poster for the 1965 English horror film
The Skull.
The poster has been “linen-backed”, is in very good condition, and displays wonderfully, vibrant and colorful.
This poster was originally folded once across the middle, but laid flat for a long time and was then linen-backed.
It is clean, and had no rips, tears or damage prior to linen backing aside from 1 pinhole in each of the upper 2 corners.

Poster measures approximately 14” x 22” (36 x 56cm) and is archivally backed onto a slightly larger canvas that can be trimmed as needed, depending upon how you would like to display/frame.

Linen-Backing:
This is a paper preservation method commonly used for movie posters and other paper items by preservationists, conservationists and restorers at museums and elsewhere.  It generally consists of using an alkaline buffered acid free wheat starch solution to adhere the poster to an acid-free lining paper and cotton canvas.  Besides rendering the poster flat, and hiding any fold lines or wrinkles, linen-backing provides mechanical stability and helps to preserve it from deterioration due to acids used in the paper making process.
